A (resealable) heart for Schwedenbomben

Customer: Heidi Chocolat AG

An original special edition for Mother’s Day continued the successful collaboration between the faceworld team and Heidi Chocolat AG. Schwedenbomben are famous chocolate-coated marshmallows. Now part of Austrian history, they were first created in 1926 by Walter Niemetz at his Viennese confectionery manufactory. The recipe for success has remained unchanged to this day.

Special packaging: resealable heart

A heart-shaped packaging was required for sets of ten Schwedenbomben choc-coated marshmallows. As the product is sweet and dainty, sufficient height and a reliable closure system were specified for the packaging.

A similar previous experience made with a product internationally-renowned in the food packaging segment meant we were able to produce the technical design very quickly. We opted for a click-system closure that enables the packaging to be opened and resealed very easily.

Once the technical drawing had been approved we produced a trial tool to check the accuracy and functionality of the proposed solution.

Testing of these samples was successful so we were able to move onto production of the final tool.

The subsequent functional test was also a success, enabling us to commence serial production of the upper and lower parts of the ‘heart-shaped’ packaging.

After careful labelling the solution was then ready for final packaging and distribution.

A sweet certainty: Check out the Niemetz shop! Niemetz’ sweet treats and special editions are always at the ready!
