Plastic insert for Heindl Christkind coins

Customer: Walter Heindl GmbH

The development of a new packaging solution for “Heindl Christkind Gulden” coins is our latest project for Confiserie Walter Heindl. It’s a sweet seasonal product in the truest sense of the word.

Now world-famous, Confiserie Heindl was founded in 1953 as an Austrian family business. Master confectioner Walter Heindl senior and his wife Maria sweetened the lives of Viennese citizens with chocolate liqueurs and confectioneries. Today, these multifaceted Viennese confectionery products are eagerly sought-after classics.

Heindl-Christkind-Gulden

A safe seat for a sweet Christkindl

The goal: An efficient and functional plastic insert to optimize the cardboard packaging that is already available.

Attractive presentation and efficient logistics

As a first blister step, we presented a visual design solution and the technical drawing for it.

After approval, we made a test mold and produced the first test samples. After successful approval, we started manufacturing the production tool for series production.

The insert made in this way from recyclable A-PET material holds 15 “Christkindln” pieces – and offers the customer several advantages:

  • the space per box is used to the maximum,

  • transport efficiency and protection are as high as possible

  • at the same time, the product is presented attractively.

Overall, the customer benefited from an optimized packaging process, reduced costs and an increase in logistical efficiency.

And speaking of efficiency: Those craving for delicious, masterfully produced pralines and chocolates need look no further than the Heindl online shop!
